STRAWBERRY BREEZE

More magnificent rawness... STRAWBERRY BREEZE

We've had a friend of my son's staying with us for the last week and I've been experimenting on them with some new Green Smoothie recipes! I love to try out new ideas and flavors to see what combos work and are most tasty - especially to my son and his friends. Here was one of the kid's faves! (Popeye never had it so good!)

Strawberry Breeze

1 to 1 1/2 cup frozen STRAWBERRIES
1 cup frozen MANGO
1/2 cup fresh baby Spinach
1 Celery stick
squeeze of Agave (to taste)
fresh Water

Cover the 1st three ingredients with water and whir it up until smooth. You may need to add a bit more water if it's too thick. Drizzle in a bit of agave, depending on how sweet you want it - can also add a splash of apple juice if you like. Delicious, Pink and Nutritious! This will cool off the hottest summer day!

Peace & Green Eating!

Great name! Great drink!

When it gets REALLY hot, I will have to introduce you to my Virgin Islands ginger beer . . . I think I can make a raw version of it [the un-raw version is basically grated ginger that is seeped in boiling sugar water and when it has cooled you add a lot of fresh lime juice]. The drink is intense, almost burning . . . but at the same time, very cooling!

Wow, VI Ginger Beer sounds really interesting! Well, it gets really HOT on the Texas coast right away, so please don't wait too long to share this burning, cooling drink!
